TASER X26P SMART WEAPON


On January 15, 2013 , TASER  revealed the TASER(R) X26P(TM) Conducted Electrical Weapon (CEW) as its newest innovation in the 2013 line of TASER Smart weapons. The single-shot X26P is compact, and fires the same cartridges as the original X26. includes new enhancements and safety features that integrate core elements of the Smart TASER platform from the TASER X2.

"The new X26P will feel familiar to many law enforcement officers, combining the form factor and cartridge from the original X26 with improved ergonomics, weatherproofing, and updated Smart technology features," said CEO and founder Rick Smith. "Smart technology adds enhanced safety and performance, improved data and analytics together with superior quality, reliability and durability."

Features:
  • High efficiency flashlight.
  • LASER: Red 650 nanometers (nm), class IIIa. Class II laser available.
  • Capable of drive-stun with either a deployed TASER cartridge, or without a TASER cartridge installed.
  • Onboard self-diagnostic and system status monitoring and reporting.
  • Central Information Display (CID): Displays data such as remaining energy, burst time, and notifications.
  • Real-time clock with back-up battery.


Characteristics
Power source:
non-rechargeable lithium performance power magazine (PPM), tactical performance power magazine (TPPM), or automatic shut-off performance power magazine (APPM) battery pack provides energy for approximately 500 5-second discharges.(5)
Trigger:
The trigger activates a single cycle (approximately 5 seconds). When used with the PPM, holding the trigger down will continue the discharge beyond the standard cycle. The cycle can be stopped by placing the safety switch in the down (SAFE) position.
Housing:
High impact polymer construction.
Waterproof:
Water resistant to IEC specification IPX2. (6)
Cartridges:
Compatible with TASER standard series cartridges.
